Cavernous is a visual interpretation of the theme “environment”, a prompt for the group exhibition The Shape of the Environment. The exhibition includes 13 artists: Fabio Erdos, Patrizia Ferreira, Hong Huo, Rina Yoon, Hattie Lee, Lianne Milton, Richie Morales, Beth Racette, Nirmal Raja, Roberto Torres Mata, Maria Amalia Wood, Derick Wycherly, and Sparker.

The Shape of the Environment was curated by Lelia Byron and hosted by Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison, WI. The exhibition was funded in part by grants from Dane Arts and the Madison Arts Commission, with additional support from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
